Arts Night

SCS Unified Arts Night

Thursday, October 20, 2016

6:30-7:30PM

All families are invited to attend and learn more about our Unified Arts Programs.

Come participate in some structured activities in music, art and/or physical education. Participation by parents is strongly encouraged. This is an opportunity for your child to share their learning experiences with you.

Art:

Experimental stations will be set up for children and families in our art rooms. 

Music:

Mrs. Southworth -K-5 - Student demonstrations of classroom curriculum. 

Mrs. Burritt - K-5 - Student led Movement Activities/Play Parties

Ms. Kelsh - 6-8th Grade General Music and Choirs

Possible impromptu performances and sharing of student work.

Band (Mr. Buckingham)

District soloists (some with piano accompanist Dan Boomhower):  Bryce Bowen, baritone sax; Matthew Ireland, trombone; possibly Emma Comeau, horn; percussion soloist (Nigel W likely), possibly another soloist. 

PE: 

Mr. Mihan, Mrs. Nelson, Mrs. Olson and Ms. Spreen  K-8

We will be in the library showing a slideshow of activities from the fall classes. 

World Language:

Examples of student work and other classroom activities. We will be in the SCS library.
