Hike For Hunger

Dear Endeavor Families,

This year we have decided to participate in the Hike For Hunger.  Hunger Free Vermont works to end food insecurity for all Vermonters, young and old!  Check out their websitehttp://www.hungerfreevt.org/ to learn more about them and watch this video to learn about their next goal - Universal Lunch for ALL students!  Over the next few weeks Mrs. Crowther and I will be talking with our classes about Hunger Free Vermont and how they help students in our community as well as all over Vermont.

We hope you can participate in supporting Hunger Free Vermont and our team by donating to our team, donating and walking with us on September 27, or by contributing to the Endeavor Team Food Drive for the Shelburne Food Shelf (September 22-26).

Last year we raised over $300 for Hunger Free Vermont and enjoyed the walk, music, flatbread and goodies!  Here is a link to the FAQ's about the day!

Recording in our science notebooks!

We used our senses and observed a rock!  Our descriptions included details about weight, length, color, size, smoothness, bumpiness, and more! We played a guessing game based on our detailed entries!  We had an exciting FaceTime with Justin, a real scientist!  He shared his science notebook with us and gave us many tips on how to keep it organized, detailed and how his work is never done as he is always curious about the world!

CHORUS

Attention all 4th Graders!

Chorus with Mrs. Southworth is an exciting opportunity to sing and learn about music!  

Chorus will meet on Tuesdays from 9 to 9:30AM and on Fridays from 1:25 to 2:05!

We will all be attending an informational meeting on September 2nd and then those who choose to participate in Chorus will begin attending Chorus on September 9th!  

Your parent permission slips are due back by September 5th!
