Today we read the book,
Your Fantastic Elastic Brain by Sarah Ackerley. We learned some of the important parts of the brain. After reading the book we were inspired to make models of our own brains! There were lots of different ways people designed their brains. There were 2-D brains, 3-D brains, and some people used clay, cotton balls, paper and other materials. We labeled and made five different parts of the brain, the Cerebrum, Cerebellum, Hippocampus, Amygdala, and the Prefrontal Cortex. We all had so much fun sculpting a brain and we learned something new. Check out the slideshow the see all our Fantastic Elastic Brains! Ask your child about the brain and what each part does for a job!
